COVID Guidelines

  1. GUIDELINES
  • Please respect the UK Government Guidelines relating to Places of Worship as updated from time-to-time,below is a summary. We have a collective responsibility to all the people on the site to suppress the spread of this disease.
  • Anyone who intends attending our services is required to pre-register to attend tefilla services via the Doodle calendar link as updated and published in the 'This Week' tab.
    • When you access the link, scroll down and complete your name and ‘tick’ services you will be attending, feel free to update your selections as necessary, but we will report attendances daily to security;
      • You will be able to mark your attendance for all weekday services and Shabbath; please note that all times on Doodle are approximate, our programme details on Anshei emails and web site will have accurate timings
    • If you are feeling unwell and have any symptoms such as a high temperature, a persistent cough, loss of taste or smell, then please do NOT come.
    • Every person entering the site will be checked-in by name for track and trace purposes at the main gate; if you have not been pre-registered by us then unfortunately you will be denied admission; you will have pre-registered via the survey requesting attendance preferences a few weeks back;
    • The wearing of face coverings is a legal requirement for all indoor public spaces and must be worn correctly during the entire service; there will be a VERY limited supply at the gate for those who walk distances and also in the synagogue
      1. Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth. Please do not wear them incorrectly; covering the chin is just not acceptable
      2. If you feel uncomfortable, please take a break: leave the site, take a walk and only return when
    • We ask that all participants fully respect the 1-meter social distancing rule;
    • The Rule of 6 applies even in the Synagogue, so no clusters of more than 6 people are allowed to congregate together around the bimah, ark, sefer Torah etc. Tashlich will also be organised differently to comply with these regulations
    • Apart from the Hazzan, the kehilla should avoid singing (it does say that!)
    • Please use the hand sanitisers located throughout the building
    • Note all the doors and windows in the synagogogue and kitchen and surrounding rooms are likely to be open to keep the rooms ventilated.  It can feel cooler in the evenings, so ensure you have an extra layer.
    Thank you for your continued understanding and co-operation.
  • Please note that attendees that enter the site and participate in our services do so at their own risk and that Anshei Shalom accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any potential consequences of attending the SJWS site premises or Anshei Shalom services.
